Nate Bargatze's Albany date at MVP Arena is off the ticket board. His performer page on the Capital Region ticket site now shows no upcoming shows. The next indoor comedy nights in the city are booked at a smaller room: the Lewis A. Swyer Theatre inside The Egg, at 71 Eagle Street on Empire State Plaza, with parking listed at the Empire State Plaza Garage.

The Swyer list now runs from mid-November into March. Gary Gulman brings his Grandiloquent show on November 14, 2026, at 8 p.m. Rachael Yamagata is in on November 18. Jesse Cook plays November 20. Comedian Robby Hoffman has two sets on November 21, at 7 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. Lunasa is December 9, Pure Prairie League December 12, Greeking Out February 28, 2027, and Solas closes the current board on March 11, 2027. That March date is the one that keeps this listing current.

The building itself spent the start of 2026 coming back online. New York Upstate reported that The Egg reopened after a six-month makeover, with a free night of music and aerial work on January 8 to show the refresh. The egg-shaped concrete hall on the plaza houses two rooms: the larger Kitty Carlisle Hart Theatre and the 440-seat Swyer, which is the room on this ticket page.

The Hart stage has already had a full house this fall. NYS Music reviewed Pat Metheny's Sept. 23 night on The Egg's Hart stage, a five-piece set tied to the February 2026 album released on Uniquity Music. Metheny waited until well into the show to talk, pointed to drummer Joe Dyson and keyboardist Chris Fishman as longtime bandmates, and used an Orchestrion plus effect pedals to cover brass-like parts that the record needed extra instruments for. The review noted standing ovations and two encores, including a solo turn that opened with "America the Beautiful."

Gulman and Hoffman are the comedy dates that sit closest to the Bargatze booking this page used to sell. The rest of the Swyer calendar is music and a family show, in the same 440-seat room rather than on the arena floor. The Hart Theatre next door takes the larger touring acts; Swyer is the room that still has stand-up on the fall list.
